50th Jubilee Mass & Celebration on September 18th
Some special notes about our Reception:
Tent Location
- The reception tent, which will be located between the Parish Center and the School, will open at 5:30 p.m. following the Jubilee Mass.
Name Tags, Table Assignment, & Wrist Bands
- IMPORTANT: You should have received your ticket to the event. Each guest will receive a plastic name tag holder when arriving at the reception. Your table assignment is noted on your name tag. Any guest who did not receive their name tag in the mail must stop in the Parish Center.
- All guests 21 years of age and over must wear an “Over 21” wrist band at the reception. Wrist bands may be obtained in the Parish Center from 3:00 p.m. until the dinner begins and also as you enter the tent. This is required per Western Springs village ordinance.
Soda Pop, Water, & Cash Bars
- Pop and water are free and are available at multiple stations throughout the tent all evening. Also, there will be several cash bars serving beer and wine and tickets for these may be purchased outside each bar area and in the Parish Center for $5 each. The Parish Center will open at 3:00p.m. for those guests wishing to obtain their wrist band and drink tickets before Mass. After Mass, guests may stop in the Parish Center to obtain wrist bands and drink tickets or they may proceed to the tent to do so. The Parish Center will close when dinner begins.
Parking
- Since the tent will take up a portion of our parish parking lot, guests are asked to park in legal spaces on nearby side streets after the main lot is filled. Special Needs parking north of Church and in front of the Parish center will only be for those vehicles displaying a handicap placard or special license plates. Guests parking in these spots will be shuttled to the church and the tent after Mass. Shuttles will run until 6:45p.m. and will not be available after dinner. Guests are reminded that there is no parking in any fire lane. Use of the Special Needs lots and other No Parking areas will be strictly enforced. Additional parking is available at St. James Lutheran Church, 5129 Wolf Road, located just south of school.
